Ed Hale, Principal

Ed founded Fido Parry Development Consulting to give owners, brokers, and growing brands what most development projects lack: one person who is accountable for the whole picture.

Before development, Ed served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an infantry and logistics officer, and as a lieutenant with the Los Angeles Police Department. Those roles taught him to keep the overall mission in view while trusting the expertise of the specialists around him. He has applied that lesson to commercial development ever since.

He spent more than fifteen years at 4G Development & Consulting in San Diego. As a Senior Project Manager, he managed development and construction projects for national restaurant and retail brands across California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Arkansas, New Mexico, Idaho, and Wyoming. As Senior Development Director, he reported to the President, held a portfolio of commercial development projects, and directed a team of 24 project managers and project engineers, developing over 140 active, pre-construction phase projects at any given time and turning over 40 projects a year to construction.

At Barghausen Consulting Engineers in Kent, Washington, he managed in-house architects, civil engineers, surveyors, and planners to develop multi-location branded retail fuel stations, car washes, and other commercial sites throughout the western states. Most recently, as Chief of Staff at Dansk Investment Group, he led the executive staff of a real estate development, investment, and property management firm with more than 300 employees, modernizing, standardizing, and improving the development and construction departments' effectiveness.

Today, from San Diego, Ed advises commercial brokers and their clients on feasibility, due diligence, and discretionary entitlements. He also helps businesses expanding through real estate, especially multi-location companies working across several jurisdictions.
